adidas Basketball and adidas Originals are releasing shoes inspired by the NBA's All-Time Leader in Points, Field Goals and MVP Awards, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. They're releasing them in time for this NBA All-Star Weekend, which again pays homage to the man who also leads the league in All-Star Game Selections and Games Played.
Dubbed "The Blueprint", the line inspired by Kareem is so far for two limited edition shoes. You have the Crazy 8 "The Blueprint" colorway for basketball, as tweeted by @adidasBasketball below:
You also have sneakers inspired by retro basketball shoes in "The Blueprint" Jabbar Hi, which are going to be released by adidas Originals. Kareem himself tweeted this photo:
The shoes will be available at the adidas in the Quarter store in New Orleans. The Crazy 8s will also sell online.
Oh, and aside from all the records Jabbar still holds to this day, apparently he also caused the dunk to be banned for a few years:
