Damian Lillard will set a new kind of record this NBA All-Star Weekend

Damian Lillard, one of adidas Basketball's top young guns, is having an even better year now than last year, when he won the Rookie of the Year award. Need proof? You can look at the stats. You can look at the Blazers' win-loss record. You can also just look at all the All-Star activities he's participating in this year.

Lillard will be playing in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge, the Taco Bell Skills Challenge, the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest, the Sprite Slam Dunk contest and finally (whew) the All-Star game on Sunday. It's never been done before.

He's attending almost all the activities, with just the Sears Shooting Stars competition that he's missing.

Record-making aside, what does this mean for Lillard? He's got the hops to dunk, great handles and quickness and a silky smooth stroke to keep shooting threes under pressure. And he's got enough talent in each to at least be shortlisted for the contests. Simply put, he's the living embodiment of an "All-Around Player", and he's got the proof now.  Oh, and he's just in his sophomore year, in case you forgot. That's a bit scary.

(On a side note: the image above shows Lillard wearing the new Crazy Quick 2!)
