Another record has been broken by football superstar Leo Messi. The Argentinian who plays forward for Barcelona netted a hat trick in his most recent match against Osasuna, as his squad won 7-0. He scored 3 of those goals on the way to breaking Barcelona's franchise record for goals of 369, which was previously set by Paulino Alcantara. Messi now has a total of 371 goals at just 26 years of age.
adidas has been waiting for this moment, as they released special football boots right away to commemorate this achievement. The exclusive and limited edition boots are dubbed the "Messi 371". Each shoe in a pair will have a different design, to symbolize the percentage of goals Messi scored with his left foot, right foot and head. His son's name, Thiago, and birth date are also still part of the upper's design.

Messi's next tasks? He's en route to break the all-time clasico goalscoring record of 19 by Alfredo Di Stefano; just one more than Messi's 18. He could also break the all-time Champions League goalscoring record of 71 from Raul Gonzalez (Messi has 67). At this rate though, does anyone doubt his ability to break all scoring records set in front of him? This guy just zooms past defenders and score at will. I'd say we're in for more commemorative treats from adidas Football.
