adidas Reportedly Will Sign Gareth Bale to Lucrative New Contract

adidas has made some key moves this year to ensure a brighter future for the brand. Its style business, adidas Originals, has made the biggest news signing talents like Kanye West, Nigo and most recently, Pharrell Williams. On the basketball end, they're about to finalize a long-term deal with reigning NBA Rookie of the Year and All-Star player, Damian Lillard.

What about the future of the brand's number one sport, football? Look no further than Gareth Bale. The footballer player has actually been with adidas for years now, since he was 16, but his improved play recently warranted a record-breaking contract from legendary football club Real Madrid.

With the added exposure of playing for a top club, it seems that adidas was convinced that Bale deserves a big contract from its end too. Reports are coming out that adidas will sign the star to a six-year deal amounting to 20 million Euros. On a contract level, this actually puts Bale on the same category as adidas elite athletes like Leo Messi, Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben.

In fact, adidas recently used him as the face of a brand new football boot, the Crazylight f50, which boasts the lightest weight in the industry. So while he doesn't have his own signature line yet, we can expect some more boots exclusively worn by Bale in the future - a future that's looking quite bright for both Gareth Bale and adidas.
