Representing the Bay Area and Damian Lillard’s unrelenting drive, adidas debuts the “Fool’s Gold” edition of the D Lillard 2. In the aftermath of the California gold rush where many tried to get rich quick, it was those who stayed behind that built up the cities with their grit and persistence.
To pay homage, the silhouette is designed with a gold foil upper and paired with matching hits on the tongue, laces and midsole splatter. Night gray accents are treated with a matte finish while an iced green outsole, laces and Dame branding cap off the California tribute.
“Fool’s Gold” ($105) launches April 1 at retailers and adidas.com.
